I know what a bidet is. However I'm curious as to whether or not they work well? I think it's a great idea, but iive never used one, or seen one in real life.

I think that they work OK, or I would be on possession of a collection of very dirty underwear.

Skid marks are never a good thing. Is it a lot of water pressure though? Any advice to avoid an enema?

I've encountered them often enough while traveling to Argentina, but never worked up the courage to try one. Too afraid of getting a blast of chilled water to my nether regions and squealing like a ten year old girl.

The problem is not the chilled water, the real problem is the hot water, anal burns are the worst

It's a drinking fountain for after you vomit, right?

Yep. It was invented by a particularly alcoholic Irishman named Thomas Crapper after a pub crawl left him especially sickly and parched before the porcelain shrine. He was later knighted for inventing a novel bedroom toy known as the ballcock.

I'm from the US. I lived in Europe for several years and my house had a bidet but I used it to wash my feet from time to time. I still don't know how to properly use a bidet.

I know what a bidet is, and it definitely seems like the way to go. Neither seen one nor used one though.

I read it as bid-it but once I saw the picture I realized what it was
