Born in '90 and I can attest to this being pretty spot on at least for the Core/Late Millennial.

Is it me or "millenial" was used for people born in the year 2000 and beyond, but it retroactively got lumped in with gen Y because marketers didn't have a solid identity for said "milenials."

I did a lot of that too, but after running around in the backyard or playing sports with friends we did play a lot of video games while inside.

I was hoping someone would notice that. This is an image created (assumed) by a millennial trying to look from the outside to identify themselves and those around them. It's not all-encompassing, but it is interesting to see how many other redditors are perfectly happy by being identified by successfully marketed products.

this looks like a contest of how many stock images you can put in one file without getting sued

there is more than a few things on here that I'd move up in the timeline. others that I'd share between multiple eras but its fairly accurate to when things came out or were popular

Why is core gen z such cancer?

I have to take issue with Iron Giant being listed there as being popular during that time. It's true that's when it came out but I distinctly remember being a little annoyed that it wasn't doing very well at the time. No one I talked to had even ever heard of it and I had to show it to a lot of people. It was kind of a slow burner and eventually became a cult classic and got the props it should've, though not until some years later.

I fucking hate the fact I'm a millennial.
