Obese pets suffer all the same consequences as obese "humans", including hypertension, congestive heart failure, joint problems, and type 2 diabetes, just to name a few. And they age way, way faster than we do so their lives are drastically affected and shortened when they are obese.

If you need that chart to tell you that your pet's too fat you probably shouldn't have that pet.
On the other hand, I think that a similar chart with human and post-human silhouettes should be hung in the candy, chips, and frozen food sections of grocery stores. Fuck it, put them in all the middle aisles.

It's not body hatred when it is a simple medical term. These are the same medical terms, let's not forget, that they are happy to preach when it comes to "thin" and "underweight" people.
