I dunno. December 7, 1941 was likely not the media.

Well, unless you count them keeping people from realizing that the Japanese were a real threat. Or that the Nazis were eyeballing the U.S. too.

Well we actually screwed Japan over after they were our allies in WW1 and embargoed them to the point their economy was about to collapse shortly before WW2 began...

Uh with Gemany after WW1 the allies took the Rhineland one of the germanies most productive areas to force them to repay for the cost of the war which hey whatever makes sense.... However, we held onto it for to long thus pushing them to far to the brink and enabling Hitler to rise.

The allies were correct and also foolish to allow hitler to take back the rhineland. They were foolish in that they should have crushed HITLER but then immediately should have given the Rhineland back. Honestly it should have been given back in 1928. Hitler would have never rose to power.

It was Hitler's plan to takeover the entire world and kill anyone who didn't have blue eyes and blond hair.

Every (political) war (ever)

Take for example Caesar's conquest of the Gauls. He went there to protect the Roman border from German encroachment into Gaul because the region had been internally destabilized. He actually went there because of the reasons discussed by the Triumverate. Primarily he was in debt and also wanted to glorify himself. Others wanted territory or part of the spoils, or political favors in the capital. He only ever made contact with the Germans a couple of times. Once he got an army and was in Gaul he basically used that status quo + any instability or revolt to stay there until Gaul was conquered. He also tricked the gauls into signing an early treaty that basically made them part of the empire, but which the Gauls thought meant paying tribute and nothing else. After that, he used the treaty to say he was just putting down rebellions (the rebellion being a never before united Gaul, 300 tribes or so).

Damn, that is some shifty shit right there.
