My reaction to this is the thought that science is producing the most horrifying abominations against nature that have ever appeared on this planet in its billions of years of existence. And we ain't seen nothin' yet, folks. The current peak horror -- implanting a womb in a man so that he can have a baby. Personally, I can't conceive of anything more warped and perverse and monstrous than that, but I'm sure science will top itself within a month.
Using heavily medicated males as surrogates makes sense as a stopgap measure until they develop artificial wombs might help keep the immune system from attacking the baby's developing brain, but then then only kids who can reason will find themselves with dads with really bad stretch marks and come up with new creation myths.
