Saudi arrests show crown prince is a risk-taker with a zeal for reform | World news | The Guardian
'The crown prince will say the arrests show his determination to root out corruption, a precondition of a more open economy. '
'No one doubted that Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman was a man in a hurry. '
'Stock markets have recovered from the shock of the arrests, and MBS is the last man standing. '
'Bakr bin Laden, chairman of the Saudi Binladin construction group, and Alwaleed al-Ibrahim, owner of the MBC television network, were also detained. '
'The question is whether he is showing the maturity and steadiness to use such a lengthy reign to create a viable, modern Saudi Arabia. '

Exactly, "look how I root out corruption by killing off anyone who could contest my throne!" But still, the more time they spend killing each other the less time they spend throwing gays off roofs and murdering innocent civilians

Totally agree, would love to see a global oligarch culling, especially in the Western world.
