Obesity causes her enough problems to write a whole book about it but not enough problems to choose to lose weight.

What an idiot!

"Boo hoo I'm a voluntary eye sore in a place prided for it's beauty." Then why not go somewhere else? "I like it here it's beautiful."

Then why not go somewhere else?

If it doesn't fit I'm sure they would be happy to build it a bigger door if only to show her through it.

That article is practically a tourism advertisement for France. There are fewer fat people, and it's socially acceptable to discriminate against them and shame them. I can only hope they don't take this pig seriously.

forces France to look in the mirror

The threat of developing obesity does tend to make rational people more self-aware: "how can I avoid becoming one of those monsters?" Oh wait... they're saying look in the mirror because being a normal person is "fat shaming" and we are bad and should feel bad. Oops, I shall say forty "hail Tess Holidays" and lash myself with a pair of jeans size 32 or smaller

150 pages? Is that all it could manage? That's more like a pamphlet. I could write a pro-fat book longer than that just from all the bullshit I have read here. Fats are so lazy with everything they do.

While it's true that fat French women are often treated rather poorly and can find it hard to get a job - a lot of stores don't want fat people working in the front because they don't want that image associated with their business - it's also true that she has nobody to blame for her fatness besides herself. Yeah, being fat in France is hard. So why doesn't she lose the weight? Why not take steps to make her own life better instead of just trying to make everyone else change their opinions regarding fat people?

But with the lifestyle, education, good eating habits imposed from young age and the quality of produce available, there's really no excuse being fat in France. One of their biggest no-nos is snacking. You get three meals a day and that's it.

Like I said, she has nobody to blame but herself. There's almost no excuse for being fat anywhere - unless someone genuinely does have a health problem which makes them put on weight even if they eat well, it is always a matter of calories in vs. calories out.
