I am unfamiliar with most of those, BUT! I have extensive experience with Gibiru and DuckDuckGo.

DuckDuckGo does not give very thorough results. I used to go to DuckDuckGo, and when I didn't find what I was looking for, bite the bullet and go to Google.

Sad to say, Gibiru is bad news. They claim to be anonymous and private. All they are is a wrapper that searches Google by proxy. Problem is, there is NO WAY to connect to them via https. Type whatever you want, if you get anything at all, it will just be a redirect to http://gibiru.com. So how actually private or anonymous can something like that actually be? Not very. It's a shame, because I really dig the vaguely Zoroastrian logo and shit. But, it is not to be trusted, sadly.

All right, I'll let you know. I've used searx.me, not sure how it is yet. Seems ok. I don't want any search engine that just gives Bing Google yahoo results.

I looked closer. I remember Dogpile from the 90s. The results were a mess. Ecosia is the default search engine for Waterfox, which I use. Blah. I also remember webcrawler from the 90s. I notice that both they and dogpile are aggregators for other search engines. Of course I know Yahoo. I notice lots of Asian and some Russian engines on the list. I have no experience with them. No experience with any of the European or Latin American sites either.

I'm looking for something that is centered around comprehensive results, good for research and avoiding mainstream lies
