Here's a dumb idea: Why don't they just flood data centers with pure nitrogen instead of having fire extinguishers? It'd probably be cheaper and, well, fires would no longer be a problem.
You'd just need to make sure that anyone going in there had an oxygen mask to keep them breathing...
