Sure do. It always gave me problems though because I had a MediaVision Spectrum 16 and later a Gravis Ultrasound. The Spectrum would often sound weird because the Windows MIDI Mapper had to be fudged to make it work as similar to a SoundBlaster card as it could. The Gravis had to have a patch set loaded ahead of time or some of the voices would not play. A later update to the Gravis drivers allowed you to load a full set of mostly General MIDI compatible sounds ahead of time but it still would act up. I eventually gave up on Crescendo and just downloaded MIDI files to use in my Cakewalk Home Studio 3 software. I really do miss the days of actual hardware synthesizers being a part of a sound card instead of this softsynth stuff we have today. I also miss using a soundcard's game port to build DIY MIDI interfaces so you could use real MIDI gear with your PC. I still have my Gravis Ultrasound but I doubt I could make it work today if I built a 486 PC to run it in. Ah, the good old days. Things were so much cooler then.
