I am Spanish, let me tell you, our government is a bunch of christian democrat cucks, but the Catalonian government are full blown socialists. They're claiming the central government is spoiling their "ancestral" land (that was invented in the XIX century) and once they're independent they're going to implement universal basic income and gibs for everyone. This all comes from giving the regional government control over the education soon after the end of Franco's dictatorship, they've been brainwashing people non-stop for forty years now. And while the central government of Spain is corrupt, the regional government has managed to eclipse them in that field, with their 3% cut out of every regional government contract.
On top o that they want to go into the EU once they're independent, so it's not independence and self-government, it's a fiefdom wanting to be promoted to direct subject of the emperor instead of being under a king. That, or it is a test run of how to destabilize a western nation.

It could be a test run. Didn't antifa start in Spain, or at least has a heavy presence there? I heard a lot of youth are uneducated and can't find good jobs (or are lazy).

You are 100% correct. Was in Spain last yr to visit family, and they said same exact thing. Catalan is a socialist cut-out.
