The only people that make women feel guilty of being a housewife, appears to be single women who are forced to work.

Not to mention the gay, and leftist men who want the same.

And my mother in law... when I quit working, she threw a fit. Asked me where my sense of pride in myself was that I needed to have a man to support me. MEANWHILE, she has always been married (since 19 yrs old) and never worked a day in her life.

Funny, my wife doesn't have an friends that are not traditionalists. Her core group are women just like her, all educated, all run their perspective families and most have successful husbands. You don't see redbirds and bluebirds hanging out together do you? Are they isolated? Probably. Do they care? Not one bit.

I would rather be her than her husband, suffering PTSD from WW2 and spending 15 hours a day at the mill coming home too tired, too sore, and too late to be involved in my kids' lives. But no, let's just end female gender roles, and call men privileged while continuing to hold men to their gender roles, said the feminists.

Seriously.... I spent all of my 20s feeling like I had to have a job, not rely on a man for anything, not want to be a housewife, for fear of being a gold digger or considered less of a women. I cook, clean, and take care of the children and hubby and I couldn't be happier. I make sure I tell him too. He's happy that I am happy... and our marriage is stronger once I put my faith/trust in him and took on a traditional role.

My mother in law is always taking swipes at me for my husband and I's choice for deciding on the traditional route. She also gets extremely emotional over her children not being children anymore, as if she didn't spend enough time with them growing up. Really makes ya think, huh?

Mother in laws. Ugh. How does your husband handle the swipes?

When in her company he'll roll his eyes and just reiterate that's it's "our decision". When it's just him and her, and she's complaining about me, he'll tell her she "doesn't see everything I do" for the house and our relationship, etc. When it's just him and I, he doesn't let a day go by without letting me know that he appreciates what I do for him and our growing family.

THIS IS NOT WHAT I EXPECTED FROM THE TITLE.

Sex jokes.
