Brother is an Apache IP. Showed him the video. He told me that's what 10lbs of HE warhead does. Ouch. He then went on to tell me Apaches sometimes fly with 17lb warheads. I guess that's for the extra F-U.

Kind of looks to me like they were doing live fire training and fired at a target (that big mound of dirt to the right of the parked cars). Perhaps visitors thought it'd be a good place to chill, and the pilot and gunner didn't see them?

Thats not usually how exercises work. Ive been guard on a live firing range for f18s, usually there is a designated target, the area is cleared for everything and the pilots are thoroughly briefed enough to know when and where and at what they are firing. The shooting range is kept under guard and the guards are contacted before the approach to make sure no one has tried entering...

I'm more inclined to believe that there actually was a glitch/accident aboard, either that or the most incompetent pilot in the world.
