In Italy we eat Caprese salad as a second, it is the main course instead of the meat plate.
That means that if it is not some formal lunch or dinner, you can eat just the caprese, maybe a fruit after that, and it would be enough.
And it is traditionally a simple plate, just tomato and mozzarella garnished with some basil oil & salt, sometimes anchovies in the tomato. Mozzarella is great, fresh, juicy, but it is not a light food. You eat a mozzarella and it is pretty much a whole meal.

I'm so glad you said that. Mozzarella is not a light food, and I have had this as a meal with family too only to be criticized by my aunts... But never my shitlording parents

Don't turn down a slice of birthday cake at the office! They might have a literal heart attack from confusion!
That crap pisses me off. Just because it is someone's birthday doesn't mean I have to join you fats in shoving sweets in my face. And just because they're going out to get food doesn't mean you have to get a 1400 calorie meal. Enjoy that salad.... and being able to tie your shoes.

I enjoyed my salad and then a long walk with my Dalmatian mix that night

Fats really are the worst when it comes to anything related to a natural disaster. Well, they suck at everything in general, we know that. Before Irma, at the Publix near me, I witnessed these butter beasts literally shoving people out of the way in the isles of the store. The kicker? It wasn't for anything improtant, like water, bread, canned food, or anything that a human would absolutely need, fucking no. These Grease tankers were walking about with carts FULL of cakes, 5 or more bags of chips, sodas, etc. I honestly couldn't believe what I was seeing.
Then again, the fact that they were treating it as a glorified trip to the grocery store meant more actual provision for normal people.

The majority of fats I know had ready generators and a fridge full of fresh, perishables and frozen items stacked to the brim... I used to wonder why but I know why. They'll be home for a few days so they can eat from to dawn to dusk without others watching so it doesn't count teehee. Plus you have to keep your energy up in a disaster teehee. But my local publix was out of frozen pizza before it was out of what I thought would be fatty storm go-tos like shitty bagged doughnuts, precooked bacon, and all beetus drinks. Also they were all buying milk...

It's sad to know that there were, and still are people who could really have used generators for important things.Yet so many were taken by these land whales that used them to keep their forzen pizza's, and ice cream. Fucking discussing. But hey! Their fat, and decisions don't affect anyone else amiright?

To be fair, loading up on high calorie nonpersihable stuff is a great idea for disasters.

The problem here is that cakes that need to be kept in a refrigerator, ice cream, cheese, etc are all 100% perishable, and completely unnecessary.
If you know a storm is coming that can, and likely will knock out power, why the fuck would you go and buy milk by the gallons? Common sense dictates that's a stupid idea, you KNOW that's perishable. It's simply not a necessity at that point in time.

It's ok! Keep on it and you can have one for a treat as a goal!

You only eat one meal per meal? What kind of barbarian must you be? You need at least 3 meal, each with several courses and beetusjuice on the side, to keep your shugahs up!

"What do you mean your cheese wasn't breaded and fried!?"
[–] Artie 0 points 1 point 1 point (+1|-0) ago
I did have breaded and fried camembert once. Quite delicious, but the word once should be a clue to fatties as to their dietary choices.

:/ fats give multi course meals a bad rap. Traditional french meal with 4 courses *although that desert is a big portion
[–] FickleFlame107 0 points 4 points 4 points (+4|-0) ago
The dessert for me would be that hunk of cheese.
[–] lastditchtryforaname ago
The whole meal seems like the portions are larger than necessary. I could never eat all that in one sitting. I'd probably half everything.
