Prior Army, 12 years worth out since 2004. Spent most of my time in Germany with a little time at Fort Bliss, TX. Signal Corps soldier who worked tac-sat first and then later got dumped into line-of-sight radio which meant MSE units and later a Patriot battery. Since most of the time I was in was "peace time" my only deployment was to Kosovo in 1999.

I've heard some cool stories from Kosovo. I've got an SF buddy that ended up marrying a terp he met during his time there

Prior Army

25th ID

Deployed to Kunar Afghanistan

Was an RTO for a line unit

Currently a Sr. Sys Admin for an international shipping company. This is my 4th job since getting out in 2012 - Worked for one of the biggest Oil and Gas companies for about a year and a half then worked at two different technology companies (MSP's) that proved to be huge mistakes. Finally in a position where my knowledge and experience is fairly compensated and recognized.

It's strange making the transition. Took me a few years to get used to it. I even had a basic training dream last week and I've been out for six years now.
