Most African nations would figure out how to sustain themselves if we quit giving them so much shit. The crap we send over winds up in the hands of warlords who then refuse it to people who don't support them. They actively discourage the people from becoming self sufficient because they would then lose their power.

We don't need to give murderers and rapists even more ways to be glorified.
We already have the NFL, boxing, rap music, reality TV....

No but public hangings would be a good thing.
Singapore boasts a largely homogeneous population with the highest average IQ on the planet (tied with Hong Kong), high literacy, one of the highest (and fairly consistently rising) GDPs, a per capita rate similar to the US, a very low dependency rate, all coupled with one of the least restricted markets. I highly doubt their low crime rate is solely attributable to the fact that they hang people for capital offenses.

I feel the firing squad is more humane, or maybe the guillotine? If your neck doesnt break instantly from the fall of the noose, you could hang there choking for minutes, eyes bulging, tongue, no that is pretty awful.
I know the guillotine looks gruesome from the spectator point of view, but have your head clean sliced off in seconds probably is the least painful way to go because it is instantaneous.
Sniper rifle fire, simultaneous shots with large caliber bullets to the head and heart at the same time might be pretty quick as well.

Ah, but you discount the value of the public spectacle. When younger people who might be inclined to commit similar crimes see someone hanging from a rope gasping for air with their eyes bulging out, maybe the will leave an impression on them.

Hard labor camps or death. Depending.

Cant because corporations are legal persons who cant be hanged.

No. When contemplating a proposed law, imagine the most savage way your worst enemy would use it. I do not want a profit incentive for depraved public savagery.

Naw. It sounds fun, but I think human testing should be used for those not fit for society.

This is really good idea.
Human experimentation would really benefit the society as a whole. American scientific community benefited alot from human experimentation done in Germany and Japan during ww2

Not only that, but those who complain about animal testing because the animals are innocent victims can't really say that about the folks who get this punishment.

Exactly. I have been preaching about it for years, but people always get the "morals and ethics" shenanigans thrown about. Such a waste of resources.

If they are not fit for society, how are they human?
Perhaps primate testing.

That is the point of executions/life in prison, no? Why not put them to good use for medical purposes, including implants amd augmentations?
