I had been a redditor for ~5 years. It has always been an echo chamber in some ways but that problem has been growing worse over the past few years.

Same jokes. Discussions are drowned in attention grabbing memes.

I needed a place where actual discussion could be had. I would love it if disagreements didn't turn into downvote wars.

After a while you start to see the same of absolutely everything. Every morning I see reposted content these days. I want something new and exciting.

Seems to have better discussion and less circle-jerkiness here so far. Also not seeing swastikas and mobs with pitch forks on the front page is nice!

I switched in February when the whole censorship of the TPP thing was going on. i still go back on, but only for r/nba, r/soccer and few other subs that aren't effected or part of all the drama.
I come to Voat for good discussion and news on various subject

Where to start... The rigged voting system, the illusion of free speech, the downvote unless you agree with me, lack of communication. False promises, screencap leaks, insincerity and a general feeling of being used a a product to sell to.
