It’s almost as if being so extreme in your ideology cuts off everyone else!

I'm currently against regulating google as public utility though..
I think it would be best if the free market just stops using google and google becomes obsolete and replaced by better (and hopefully decentralized) stuff..

I used too be a regular at reason, but we are passed that point. The left made it a zero sum game of government force. Trump is not Seriously dismantling the government so next dem President we are right back to 2014.

People may notice, but they don't care. Look at facebook. Look at twitter. For all the shit they've done, people keep coming back because they're easily distracted.

The big tech CEOs who love to signal their marxist-leaning politics and their support of feminism, Islam, etc should keep in mind: When the Right comes for you don't be so sure that the Left will protect you. Real Democrats hate corporations.

They still say "Google it" on the news and weather channels. This is what put Google ahead of other search engines, the media has always acted like Google was the thing to use. I quit them years ago.

It's catchier than "Bing" it, or "Wikipidia", or really anything else. A good brand name goes a very long way.

Always day Bing it, with emphasis. It's obviously facetious and underscores that you are NOT saying "google it." The point is made.

Google is losing allies across the political spectrum | Ars Technica

'Interest in dealing with concentration of power, the fear of concentration of power is across the spectrum."'

'Still, there really was a close relationship between Google and the Obama White House. '

'Google fires engineer who “crossed the line” with diversity memo Conservative skepticism of Google has only intensified in 2017. '

'"For a couple of weeks they were really interested in Google and their relationship with Obama," Vaidhyanathan told Ars. '

'Vaidhyanathan is generally a Google critic, but he found himself in the unusual position of defending Google against unfounded conspiracy theories. '
