I would be interested in knowing why in 6 out of the 50 states there would be no donation. I bet something tax related, doesn't really make sense for them to randomly do that...

They found an excuse (it's slightly harder to do it there, making a profit on something charitable is semi-illegal, etc, etc) and pocketed the money instead of working through it

Warner is already leeching off money off of Tolkien's corpse. This just another insult to add to the pile (not that it makes it better).

Edit: Perhaps better would be to say that Warner paid money so only Warner could leech off Tolkien's corpse.

Honestly, Shadow of Mordor was a fairly fun game. I got my money out of it at any rate, and the DLC wasn't wholly offensive (not that I cared, GOTY edition for $20 and all).

Shadow of War looked promising, and from a gameplay perspective, it probably lives up to those promises-- but the absolute greed of the publisher and the cancer that loot crate MTX combined with the pvp mode will bring to it have killed it before it even launched.

I almost pre-ordered it, too. I changed my mind as it got closer to release and more details about DLC and monetization came out.

The real shame is that it will still be a successful game, and that will send all the signals necessary for the next big game to follow its footsteps. All because people don't research their products and just blindly buy the hype.

Valve is also at fault, they are getting $1.50+ Tax in profit for every game sold. Meaning it could be only $1 donated every time someone buys the game.

As an aside: Can we all agree it's a damn shame TB didn't actually die from the cancer?
