Why is everyone who takes time out of their day to care for themselves (weightlifting, running, eating healthy, etc.) labeled boring? The most boring 'people' I know are all fats.

A healthy body is the key to a peaceful and fulfilling life. I don't know how people can be be fat and yet think it's okay.

Seriously. I don't give a shit about wrinkles. I work out now so that I can be one of the awesome elderly people I see jogging everyday. There's a fair amount of elderly joggers. There's a fair amount of fat young "joggers". But there's no fat old joggers. Because they're dead. I'd like to be old, alive, and mobile.

If there is a growing and entire generation of NEETs, you can bet this will be the general attitude among them.

This doesn't even make any sense. At first it's showing insecure assholes badmouthing a weightlifter to make themselves feel better. Then it uh...tries to justify that? Like it's ok?

You also get some muscle so that you're not in physical therapy for your joints and spine by the time you reach your 40s.

I used to feel bad about that, but it's probably one of the better perks of not being a retarded fatass.

As much as I love video games, I think propagates a false point system where if you put points into dex and strength, it has to come from intelligence or spirit etc. the harsh truth is that some people just have more points and then level up faster because they actually put work into it.

So yup, some of us can be as smart as a caster, fast as a thief and strong as a warrior and as charismatic as a bard. Sorry, life isn't fair.

Just think of all the time in my love I've devoted to other things than eating. I've had fat friends in the past whose whole lives literally revolved around food. One told me once that she could never count calories because that would take too much time of her day. She never thought to herself that her overeating was the issue. I work out and also practice multiple languages, teach our future generation, and take guitar lessons as well as volunteer at local food banks. All the while getting my daily exercise in and knowing my health is what will keep me living a long and healthy life. And if I die tomorrow at least I am healthy now and happy emotionally and physically. Fat sad sacks reeee all their miserable lives. The end.

See, here's the funny thing. Whenever I tell someone that I've recently learned how to do Olympic lifts or that I lift weights, they react with interest and say it's cool or whatever.

People actually do find the ability to "lift pieces of metal" interesting.

Not to mention that most of the really ripped people at my gym that I've talked to really don't care what other people think. They're working out for themselves.

Exactly. Anyone who's making a spectacle of it is kind of an idiot.

I guess he hasn't time to read the Ancient Greek philosophers. I mean those people were intellectual and physical shitlords as well as the founders of western civilization.
