Confirmation bias is when you cherry pick data points that match that your hypothesis. For example, (((Soros))) is for open borders but (((Netanyahu))) rebuked him, or (((Stephen Miller ))) explains to CNN the benefit of tight immigration policy https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H-J4FvxtD9I

Confirmation bias is a very common practice on VOAT, people post selective negative anecdotes that about the races/religions/ethnicities they hate and ignore counter examples.

The rational way to deal with large diverse population is using statistics and distributions, not using selected anecdotes.
