Criticise and insult them back and if they continue for what feels like hours, days or even weeks, just let them be. The more you feed them, the worse it gets. But I will admit, it is funny to see people rage over trivial subjects on the internet.

I usually end up deleting my post/comment because I cant take it anymore, if it gets real bad.

I do the same. You do whatever feels right for you because that person means absolutely nothing to you and you can choose never to speak to them again. That's the beauty of the internet. You won't be looked down by anyone for deleting a post or comment, trust me.

I turn my brain on and realize it is just words on the internet.Words do not cause me harm. That is not to say that on occasion I do not give back some of what I get.I have a radical feminist on my facebook who is particularly fun to drive nuts.It is amazing and news stories about false rape and other such things will set her off.

if i feel bad then maybe they are right, most of the time people just don't want to see... and you can't make them.

but i can suggest the world is energy, that energy is intelligent, we are that, we are raw energy, but intelligent, trusting in self is to trust life. something like that.

i am pointing at something, don't look at my finger. but people always fixate on the words, not realizing words are easily misinterpreted, even to say 'chair' brings about as many versions as there are listeners.

i don't believe disease is a permanent, nor accidental state. accidents don't happen, coincidences do.

we are in control, but it isn't what you think but what you believe at your core, changing that requires faith, most won't even try, i did, now i am different, but i'd never go back.

i am limitless potential ;)

so, lay it on me, o critics .. lol, just sharing why i get some flac, o that and isreal(fake).. idiots commiting geonicide and we give em a billions each year.. pathetic.

It can be hard. I have social anxiety disorder, which means even faceless comments can still occasionally give me that panicky cold feeling in my stomach.

Just remind yourself when it happens that they don't know you, they can't get near you, and that their opinion doesn't matter. I know, easier said than done. But it does get easier with repetition. And if it gets too bad, I just get out of that thread for a while.

Getting into flame wars online is just petty. Even in real life, if someone chooses to be a dick to you (and it is an active choice), then just deal with it, unless it's reputation damaging or potentially violent. Look up stoic philosophy. One of the cornerstones of it is maintaining an almost emotionless state, however the whole point of it isn't that you force yourself to grin and bear it, but more that you let things go, accepts things/actions/people for what they are, and you yourself become stateless (don't carry negative emotions/memories around with you like baggage). Think of the old christian maxim: "God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference."

The same way I deal with real life insults and criticism. First, forget your ego entirely. Ask yourself if this person (however poorly spoken) has a non-adhominem argument. Are they correct?

Secondly, ask yourself how you can improve yourself. This doesn't mean that person is correct. Use every source in life to improve yourself.

Third, if the person deserves an honest rebuttal, provide one. If not, you can either ignore them, or troll them.
