You know what? I agree with you 100%. You just said all that in a way I've never heard before. I guess I just always wanted it to be something positive, so I turned 'feminism' into that when it comes to what it means to me. I'm proud to be a woman, I love men, and I think everyone who puts the effort in deserves the opportunity to be great. In light of your analysis, which absolutely makes sense, I guess I would just call my vision one that's more humanist. Projecting love, and being a productive member of society doing anything in my power to better the lives of everyone around me. What really makes me repeatedly bang my head into the wall is when they use their mass (literally and figuratively) to claim oppression and project hate, and it doesn't even exist in the world they live in. They get mad because someone called them fat, they get mad when someone says their fat is beautiful... They truly can't be happy - they feed off of being miserable and the complaining they get to do.
