So far I am seeing the community aspect is more present. I can read into a thread without being blasted by dank memes and puns. I have also been noticing I feel more inclined to comment here. That may be a result of a smaller user base, the novelty factor or something else. I'm really not sure but I have noticed I have commented here more in the last day than I have my last six months on Reddit.

I think the hope is that it goes back to its basics, and by that I mean a public forum where people can speak and discus things in a way they know is not being tampered with. It's very useful and enjoyable to have access to such a wide range of opinions, but if you cant trust that what you are seeing is fair and accurate, then it's easy to write off any opinion, whether reasonable or not, as just another attempt at manipulation. So, as far as being different than reddit, I hope that it becomes a more effective attempt at doing what reddit did. If it can do that, then in my opinion, it doesn't need any new bells or whistles
