so can people, if you have a birth certificate, you are registered as government property. You get some 'free' services so they can protect their investment in you then tax your lifetime earnings and spends. Try raising a child without accessing government services and you will see how free you and your children are.

A corporation is a legal entity owned by people. These owners have limited liability.

Corporations are people in the sense that they have a vested interest in the direction the country goes. They have a right to donate money to political campaigns, etc. because they have an interest in the outcome.
Corporations are not autonomous like humans are. Therefore they need a management team to act as their "brain". Also, the profits generated have to go to a human since corporations themselves can't really spend/save/invest money - people use money. When a corporation is sold, it is essentially swapping brains from the buyer to the seller and the seller is assigning the right to be paid to the buyer.

It would make sense if they could, as an entity, vote. They hold a large stake in this country.
It used to be you had to own land to vote. I'm not sure were better off with the masses voting.

The existence of the "corporation" status was created to give protections to businesses from harming common people. So if they pollute your stream, the owner of the corporation or shareholders and managers are not personally liable. Anyone working for them is off the hook, the "corporation" is liable. This was the basis for creating the EPA when it was never needed in the 1st place. If the people who own and run a business are PERSONALLY liable for what that business does then it can all be handled by the courts and the bureaucracy is not needed. But that's a leftist for you, answer any problem with the expansion of govt.

As a matter of fact the "corporate" status was created to stop imprisoning people for well meant but failed business endeavors. Because, you see, it is a game. If you want to win as an investor, be prepared to lose as an investor. You can't have all benefits without risks.
As in Environmental Protection Agency?
Do you know how polluted the environment was at the end of 20th century?
They are if what they do is a criminal act.
You sound like a fucking retard, I am sorry, but that is a fact.
[–] murraryrothbard ago
Yeah because without the EPA how would we ever have cleaned things up? Give me a fucking break. You have a very selective idea of what is criminal. If my company pollutes a stream or river that runs onto your land that is a criminal act and I should be held liable. Death from a thousand needle pricks, everyone who has had property damage can sue. If you know this is what will happen to you, that you'll loose car/house/bank accounts you will be damn careful you don't pollute. If you know it's just your business that will suffer you can always get another job and take all your assets and move. Being personally liable for what we do is something most of us live with every day...but I guess that is "retarded" to you.
