When you factor cost of living vs salary of the area, I found I would make more money staying where i am making 20K less, then i would, moving to Seattle.

Yeah. It's funny as Seattle people think they're so fucking rich and intelligent because of their paycheck size.. but they don't understand that they spend so much fucking money just to SURVIVE that middle class people in many other states are actually better off than them... as most of them haven't taken a single toe past the PNW, they have no concept of how fucked Seattle is.

The food in Seattle isn't bad if you know where to go. But you'd also have to love Asian/Mexican food. Otherwise yeah it's just average. There's only one, MAYBE two good greek places and the German village, Leavenworth, is cool but not worth the food and it's literally just a gimmicky ''buy literal shit'' place. Seattle becomes 100% stale within 2 months.

I haven't been to Texas myself, yet. But I have a cousin who lives there and she and her husband like it. It seems like it'd be a solid place, and a strong economy, outside of the more liberal (insane) parts as PNW people started moving there. Fucking Cali..

Yup the economy in Texas is really nice. Me and my wife love it. It' such a nice state, we want to stay here. Saddly we need to move to the Bethesda area soon, which we both dread. I've talked about how i may need to either sell/transfer my guns to someone, since guns are essentially verboten in the DC area.

Well I hope you and your wife find a good reason to move to Texas soon and your stay in Bethesda/DC is short.. anywhere near the swamp can't be a healthy place to live.
