your hobbit hill sounds amazing. I think I've only submitted one thing to /v/diy and it was a hobbit house idea. like build a hill and put a little door on it. is that what yours is like?

regarding my garden, I've got plenty equipment but I think I'm going to use a little "mantis" type tiller. the big tiller needs a carburetor and I haven't ordered one yet. I've got a few sections of the garden that are still producing, so i dont wanna break out the tractor or digger.

thinking I'm gonna replant summer squash and zucchini. not sure if it's too early to plant my cool weather crops, but I'd like to do that sometime soon.

It does look amazing in my mind... but as I am planning to plant the herbs staggered according to their water and soil requirement, I guess in the end it will just look like a herb hill, real boring but functional.

I would love a proper hobbit hill or just mounds of earth for storing produce. I could make fake little hobbit doors... hehe, the imagination goes wild. But space is an issue for me at the moment. So I could only get one mound, hobbity hill of weedville. :D The Weedville Wobbletons of wee....

Produce storage mound is something else I would love to try... http://what-when-how.com/vegetable-gardening/outside-storage-vegetable-gardening/

I couldn't find your post, but I will check later.

We have a mantis tiller too, sweet little things... I guess we could start with other indoor seedlings to add and start preparing the beds for the Autumn crops. I can't wait but so much prep work awaits for me... anyhoo let us know how it all goes... don't hurt yourself now... horse liniment for stiff joints work great.
