Not really, they would use a remote console, for example like HP's iLO(Integrated Lights-Out), which also gives you access to things like hard drive array controllers and other hardware components.
But logging onto the parent is not something most can do, and even if someone did, there's no easy way to look what's inside of the VMs running on the parent. Even when they are not encrypted it's a pain.
