The administrators of Google are oligarchs with the one world global order nonsense ideas. They don't care about truth or what deplorables want.

i recently read assange's "google is not what it seems" which was either an excerpt from a book, or a standalone article written by Assange. (i forget which)
I delayed reading it for the longest time because lazy, but once i read it, HOLY SHIT. Google is more of a "world politics and world fuckery" type organisation, as opposed to merely a search engine. It's a really good read, sorry i dont have the link handy.
@Needlestack might have it, as she posts lots of stuff in /v/wikileaks

Silicon Valley is full of SJWs who can't wait to virtue signal.
The employees at Mozilla ran their CEO, the guy who invented javascript, out of the company. He now has the Brave Browser going.
As Yahoo was going down the drain years ago the employees helped block a Microsoft buyout. Not their stock options are worth shit and the company has been sold off in pieces.
The CEO of Snap Chat is a nutjob. The list goes on.

Google is an oligarch platform in the same political spectrum as FakeBook and Twitter. Search results are skewed, manipulated and censored, making the results as useful as FakeBook and CIA/CNN.
I imagine the code base is incredibly complex and the human labor very expensive to maintain the distorted results. Plus they are constantly "tweaking" the results to comply with the whims of changing politics by day and of multiple countries.

Skewing public perception and opinion. Technology must never be allowed to be used against us like this. Instead of deleting search results, like how books were destroyed in Fahrenheit 451, they simply redefine everything, like newspeak in 1984. It's bad enough that google works for the government to spy on us. Now they've been doing this.

I'm not so sure about this. If I use Google and search for "shariah" I get at least two critical sites including shariahthethreat.org and The Blaze on the first page.

Checked out the site, and it's great. Thank you - checked out Brave browser. Always find it weird, though, when they offer .deb and .rpm packages for stuff, but not the binary to build it on your own.

DDG is cucked. Stop thinking it's a good option. SearX and Lycos are probably the only solid options in that list.
Shame about Ask Jeeves.

Define cucked.

Startpage and searx suffer from terrible and unpredictable latencies.
Bing tracks you.
Bing via DDG using the "!b" is an option.
See qwant.com as another alternative engine.

Idk why they brought up bing either...hmmm....
[–] Dark_Shroud ago
You really don't have to use the !b bang option since DDG uses yahoo, who is powered by Bing. I guess it might save some latency but not much.
One the main page I say that we know who MS is as a company, they're after the almighty $. So I'm fine with Bing as long as they don't censor like Google is plus Microsoft rewards.

https://www.ixquick.com/eng/ is another. Uses google's engine. So you'll still get buttfucked on the wonked results I guess.
