After illegal aliens have documents what are we supposed expected to call them, so not to offend anyone? I'm betting something to do with resident like, "Resident Immigrant" or "Resident Worker."

Then they become documented migrants, and the difference between legal/illegal immigration will become null and void.This is why changing the language is so dangerous

True, true, true. Resident Alien and Non-resident Alien are legal definitions which have real world ramifications and not simply hurt feelings.

Just because a government entity acknowledges your existence does not mean you are a citizen or anything more than an illegal alien, in this example.
