I've decided that my next spam call I will attempt to find a list of the board of directors. Gather Intel on their home numbers and call at 3:30am their time

You can't. As soon as you start asking for information about their company, they hang up.

I use "should I answer? " and just block all numbers not in my contacts

You can try adding the SIT Intercept DTMF code to your voice mail. This can sometimes trick robocallers into thinking your line has been disconnected. Just play it at the beginning of your recording when you set up your voice mail

The only way I got it to stop was by downloading an app called mr number. It is a crowd sourced call blocker that lets people flag the internet based numbers and it has pretty good results. It also has a bunch of options for what types of calls you want it to screen, I'd suggest trying that.

What about when they spoof real numbers? Have you had that happen? Where they'll even call from your own number lol

Yeah, I've seen them spoof random local numbers. It all comes down to due diligence and how active your social life is on that phone number. It won't catch all the numbers, but it will catch the known ones.

Not sure but in France, you can register on a website to be on a no-call black list.

Same here, but it doesn't matter, these are criminal operations, and they're usually based overseas, using IP calling.

My favorite are the Indian virus scammers. I love to screw with them. "Hello, I am from Meecroseft and you have a virus." "Oh really?" "Yes! Do you use Windows Teen?" "Nope." "Windows 8?" "Nope." "Windows seeben?" "Nope." "Meac?" "Nope." "What you use den???" "Linux, you scamming, sack of cow shit. You are the reason why India cannot evolve past the diarrhea infested streets. Eat a dick."

At this point they lose their curry and start screaming.

Pisses them off everytime. Worth it.

Yeah, I had one of them walk me through the entire process. I kept saying that I didn't see the option they wanted me to select. "Oh, I'm supposed to be in Windows? Hold on, I booted into Linux, give me a few minutes to restart my computer."

They get pissed the fuck off as soon as they hear "Linux".

This happened to me, too. It was a company selling Bermuda cruises and vacations. I pressed 4 to have a customer rep call me back. I then expressed interest in buying a cruise and we discussed different packages. The salesperson made payment arrangements, which included the business name and contact info. I then googled the company and got additional phones numbers. I then called them several hundred times over the next few days. Sometimes I called them on two phones at once and asked to be transferred to myself. The company was based in a small city, and the owners' names and home phone numbers were in the white pages. I called them at home, on their cell phones, at their offices over and over. I would be eating dinner or watching a movie and just kept hitting redial. They eventually took me off their list and I didn't hear from them again. Good luck.

The ones calling me are from "card services" or "the warranty department", so no actual company listing.

I've been connected to the live person, I've bullshitted them for 5-10 minutes, and I've even had one cuss me out. The calls still keep coming.
