According to an explanatory document about the Star Gate, available on the CIA’s site, the program sought to cultivate “psychoenergetics,” which it defines as “A Mental Process by which an Individual Perceives, Communicates with, and/or Perturbs Characteristics of a Designated Target, Person or Event Remote in Space and/or Time from that Individual.” (The unusual capitalization scheme is original to the document.) In particular, Star Gate focused on “remote viewing”—which involves using the mind alone to see thing that aren’t immediately present. The document proposes that “remote viewing” is “inherent to every human to some degree” and “Probably a vestigial form of self-preservation.”

i was a big fan of simpsons growing up and south park is my all time favorite show, but i never got into anything on adult swim. every show i ever caught a glimpse of on that network gave me a vague sense of unease that seemed to linger after i flipped the channel. i remember the feeling well. never really gave it much thought until now..

It's interesting how some of the craziest shows are a Hillary Clinton supporting Time Warner company. Like wtf. I've watched Mr. Pickles and it it's fucked up. It's extremely fucked knowing how as a kid I tried to stay up and watch shows like aqua teen hunger force. But now the programming isn't just stupid but demonic. Metalocolypse comes to mind, the humor in these days shows really blot out the fact of how perverted and grotesque the programming you're watching really is and the sorts of subliminal messages you're being subjected to.

I've observed a social phenomena over the past 20 years that I call permadolescence. I have never associated this with anything organized besides the need for giant corporations to make more money. Basically it's the greatest lifestyle on earth where an individual is congratulated (by marketers of high-margin, low value goods) for being stupid, inept and immature until they are in their 40s. It co-exists with the habit of infantilizing men in media and it is men who are primarily targetted for this. The American landscape is full of legal adults who are 13 years old forever. That's because the adolescent brain is easy to manipulate (talking in terms of maturity, not age). That's because the teenagers (persons between 13-19) are a huge market and they have massive amounts of money to waste on entertainment and teenager beer (energy drinks). Adult swim is the official TV channel (program segment) of the permadolescent. Its "edginess" is the sort of thing that was used to separate children from their parents during the birth of Rock'n'Roll. Before the age of inexpensive portable radios, there was no teenager class of children who are incentivized to imitate adult lifestyle. There was no way for marketers of shit goods and ideas to speak directly, in secret, to children. So those of us who get a vague gag reflex from trying to watch Adult Swim (because our fully formed adult brain works) can be derided as being old squares who don't get it :) And the douchebag overlords continue to win.

The Adult Swim guys are associated with Cartoon Network, but are known for also being huge trolls.
They may be doing this to get PGers to watch.

I've RV'ed before...1 success out of ...lots of attempts was both convincing and unconvincing at the same time.

That was my immediate thought when I clicked on the second link and found it to be simply a programming schedule.
