It's astounding they survive as long as they do. They die young when they never leave the couch. This shows how long they would last in reality.

I actually did that once while rock climbing. The climb wasn't quite vertical, but still very steep. A stone came loose under my hand and down I went! There are correct ways to fall and roll, and that is not even close. I lost some skin on my knees and fingers, but still managed to regain traction after about 8 feet or so.

Funniest part is it gets a grip on the rope before it gains too much momentum, but it still can't support its own weight.
