Do you truly believe all sociopaths are incapable of posing as perfectly normal, likeable people? Do you truly believe even a slight majority of them are incapable of that?
Look at the most infamous serial killers (not mass shooters, not spree killers, serial killers). How many of them were declared as sociopaths or psychopaths, and how many of them were described by their friends, family, and neighbors as totally normal, even friendly, or pillars of their communities?
Why wouldn't a sociopath be just as capable as any normal person of deciding not to do evil?

No, I believe they can but there is the potencial for someone to see through their cracks and the mear revalation that there are people for whom humanity itself is entirely foriegn may cause serious damage.
Why wouldn't a sociopath be just as capable as any normal person of deciding not to do evil? Because they don't understand the relevence. Some of it, beside the directly communicated like don't kill, is over their head.

Why would that be over their head? The consequences are clear. If you kill people, you will be caught. You will be tried ans convicted. You will lose your freedom to do whatever you please within the confines of the law. How do you know there aren't sociopaths capable of understanding this? Are you a specialist in the field of psychology?
