It's always amazing to me just how long early humans lived without fire, without stone tools, without language, but still what we would call humans. Hundreds of thousands of years. We like to think humans spent maybe a hundred years in caves, then developed fire and built temples. But humans spent hundreds of generations huddling up in the dark, and we have no record of what they did during that time. Very interesting.

Also amazing that there are modern day humans ( the Sentinelese ) who have not discovered how to make fire.
