King Henry VIII was fatfished by Anne of Cleves. He was shown an attractive portrait of her and choose her for his new wife. Soon after meeting in person, he basically called her fat and smelly and was rather pissed that he was scammed. By today's standards, Anne of Cleves would be considered a small person.

Conveniently omits the fact that today's "skinny" was probably medieval time's "well fed".

These "born in the wrong era" fats have always baffled me. Especially because there is evidence in the form of art illustrating what people meant by "skinny" and "fat" back then.... I see fats on pinterest sometimes pinning old ads for weight gain products, but they literally include photos showing that the girls are going from about a BMI of 17 to 19. But if the piggies want to go back in time to the "right era" for them, and subsequently get treated like the gluttonous, obese freaks they are, they can be my guest...
