I was a member for a short while and was banned some time ago for telling neogaf to calm down on a topic. The point of this subverse is to make fun of neogaf for it's actions. There are still members here who still have accounts on neogaf but can't stand how crazy/far-left it has gotten lately.

I dunno. I mostly only go there through here now.
Bitterness too, I guess. It's a shame that what was once such a rest community has completely devolved into the shambling madhouse that it is now. GAF used to be our "online home" for a lot of us. Now it's being over run by squatters who shit all over everything.

Because it's hilarious. Progressives are beyond parody at this point. They're human cartoon characters. And they're turning on one another, which is even funnier to watch.

I like making fun of them. Their rampant hypocrisy and overall degeneracy should not go unchecked

I used to have an account when I used to work at a very large developer/publisher, but I never actually posted. I actually lost access to my account when I went to change my email address, for it only to never be re-approved.
I read NeoFAG for the lulz, primarily. Sort of like Kiwifarms. They are also politically educational if you are attempting to understand the purest, rawest form of SJWism and how that might impact the mainstream in more diluted quantities.
There was a time when I was shocked at the things being said, now I just find it comical as I try to see who can one-up another SJW poster with something even more head in the sand absurdist. (YAAAS QUEEEEEN!!!!). Full on NeoFAG posters and readers cannot tell if people like Lime and RinsFury are NeoFAG-users trolling, or genuine SJWs deeply affected by Poe's law.

I'll be honest, I don't even really know what the fuck GamerGate is. I just play the videogames I like, I don't go any farther than that. I don't know any YouTube personalities, I don't know any podcast hosts, I don't know anything about Jim Sterling other than his name and that he's fat and ugly.
I hang out here to see ridiculous behavior pointed out, and to laugh at idiots both here and on GAF. The big difference is that here, people that say stupid shit aren't banned, they're generally either ignored or told they're dumb. I don't agree with a lot of things people say or think here, but I don't want them silenced. I just enjoy peoples' reactions to lunacy.

His wife looks like him in drag, and they're "polyamorous." Which means he's a proud cuckold.

There's more of "normal" GAF reading Voat than there is exiles
http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=242092050&postcount=1004
Every single topic with a tiny bit of drama erupts into "go back to Voat", like above. RinsFury constantly promotes this place. I like to think many of those who pretend to be progressives for internet-cred/back pats/asskissing on GAF secretly come here to laugh along.
Upvote this post if you're currently a GAF member who reads Voat to laugh at the lunacy but keep your mouth shut on the site/play along with the narratives.

To me, Neogaf is on the cutting edge of the left's descent into sheer madness and reality denying ignorance. It preceded the same in popular culture by quite a bit, and continues to be a kind of signpost for where leftist popular culture will head in the near future.
In short, when you want to laugh at leftists, this site is the grand poobah. In addition to being able to see the latest deluded narratives spawn on the spot in a completely locked off echo chamber which is perfect for scientific observation.
Gaf is basically sometimes my festering Petri dish.
I used to unironically love the site, and came here for a while to mourn/mock it's downfall, but anyone doing the same in 2017, probably a half decade after sane Gaf's last gasps, seriously needs to let go. It's dead, Jim.

Pretty much my feelings as well. I always felt GAF was coddling towards losers, but could mostly ignore it. Then the Trayvon Martin shit happened and I noticed the huge disparity between the reaction on reddit and GAF. That caused me to do a little research on the topic, and then I saw the mass bannings in the thread of anyone who questioned the narrative. By the time Gamergate happened, I realized the forum was a far-left shithole. It's even worse in summer 2017 than it was in summer 2014.

Yup. Classical liberal here too, to show how much of a turn-off Gaf's extremism is.
Probably the first time I noticed it was that big brouhaha over Penny Arcade making that hilarious 'raped by the dickwolves' comic strip.
All of a sudden, I witnessed fellow posters that I respected go out of their mind over a funny, harmless comic strip. A dark one to be sure, but that apparently merited a hyperbolic response best compared to 90s parents freaking out that you could shoot someone in a videogame, or music CDs contained swearing.
Weren't we past this? Hadn't society reached the point where it could take a joke, and understand context without screaming it's head off for censorship?
I was a sweet summer child. It only got worse from there.

Yeah, it's been impossible to just enjoy gaming without agenda pushing either appearing in the comments, or in whole asinine SJW threads, from what I can tell.
Even if one could put up with that, the steady 'brain drain' that Gaf has experienced in purging every normal, funny, intelligent, easygoing member, has left it absolutely unremarkable at best, and terrible at worst, for discussion.
You can't pull fun times and intelligent analysis out of people who think 'Reeeeee! Russia!' and being offended by attractive women are the height of discourse.

We just make fun of their hair-on-fire pansy-assed ways. I don't think (m)any of us really give a shit about GamerGate.
A lot of us have been banned or left because we got sick of the place, but quite a few of us still have active accounts, some of which are used for deep trolling (see: rinsfury)

KotakuInAction has always been cringey and slightly autistic, but GamerGate was right about essentially everything.
To the extent I care about GamerGate, it's because the events that inspired GG (the GameJournoPros shit, not that fat dangerhair mental case and her sad nerd harem) were an early and noteworthy sign that the progressive left were losing touch with reality and were willing to tell any lie to "achieve" their impossible goals. Progressives have been delusional liars for as long as I've been aware of them, but this was a whole new scale of bullshit.
