I am a believer in peace and love and kindness.
That said, if we are in a war such as the one we are in, I believe in sending the biggest, baddest motherfuckers with the biggest baddest laser shark missiles, to win that war and crush our enemies into ashes. There can be no middle ground in war.

Sun Tzu had a similar philosophy. He believed that war was a crime against humanity, and that the most moral approach is to end that war as quickly as possible.

Big fan of the broken window fallacy, war is resources better spent on other things, it is best to be overwhelmingly victorious as soon as possible.

Just to be clear. General Mattis did NOT say - We're just going to kill them all.
The reporter states that they are 'paraphrasing' General Mattis - and the reporter used that line. When I first looked at this article I do not believe that the article indicated that they were paraphrasing him - I believe this is a further addition to what was originally posted - but I could be wrong..
What General Mattis DID say was :
“We have already shifted from attrition tactics, where we shove them from one position to another in Iraq and Syria, to annihilation tactics where we surround them. Our intention is that the foreign fighters do not survive the fight to return home to North Africa, to Europe, to America, to Asia, to Africa. We’re not going to allow them to do so. We’re going to stop them there and take apart the caliphate,” said the General.
It is so refreshing to see a warrior in charge of fighting a war. It is refreshing to not see targeting or ordinance decisions made by people like Susan Rice or other social justice warriors from thousands of miles away.
Mattis doesn’t believe in providing jobs or worry about offending the people who want to kill us. Trump let’s him do his job.
To paraphrase the General, We’re just going to kill them all.
