It's been theorized that nettles are in fact a carnivorous plant. If you were a sheep or fox or some other smaller animal they can trap you until you die. Then you rot and feed the nettles plant(s).

Jokes aside, I live in suburbia and the wildlife is generally benign. I suppose it is possible a brown recluse could happen by, or maybe a venomous snake.
