Oh look, a GITHUB survey. Will one of the very first points be whining about feminist shit?

IT IS!

The internet is anonymous until you choose to not make it so. If you can't deal with a true meritocracy it's because you're fucking inferior.

It's pretty much the whole point once you consider that noone wants to do documentation. Open Source is being taken over by big companies and this is the bullshit result you see. Expect more big projects to turn to shit in the coming years.

You know, documentation is something I'd be happy to help with. I'm a mediocre programmer, and I've done a lot of tech support, so writing up support documents means i get less stupid questions.

The two main problems mentioned: Documentation and Behaviour

The Arch community is famous for its excellent documentation. I wonder how they managed to establish that level of quality as their standard.

Another issue is that the people competent enough to understand the software seem to be the least competent at documenting it. They are poor Educators. Can you remember the saying, "Those who can, do; those who can't, teach."? The people who can do it aren't teaching, they are busy doing it. The people who can teach it don't, because they can't understand/do it.

Regarding the "feminist shit", one would have thought that if one wished to be judged on one's code rather than on one's gender, then simply use a gender neutral name and at the end of commits, don't write, "P.S. I have breasts."

Well said.
