I once heard a guy tell me that the multiverse theory is real, and that there are hundreds of me, one in each universe, experiencing different things an living different lives, all simultaneously. He said that When we die we'll be able to access all of those experiences and all of the knowledge attained. It was a rather interesting conversation.

That would be amazing. Except when you visit the you that becomes famous and falls in love with the most beautiful woman in the world but you can't personally relate to it so you just get super jealous. I'd go after the me that ended up a janitor so I could feel better about myself.

Riposte: Observation in quantum mechanics doesn't mean what observation means in everyday english. In everyday english, observation means someone is watching. The easiest explanation of what Observation means in QM is just "two particles interacted and made some new information" note the total lack of implied special effects by conscious observers in that definition. It's because consciousness doesn't matter to QM. The fuckup in communicating this to the public by the QM community has led to, well, things like this.
