Good and bad IMO. I didn't like how they didn't focus enough on energy (calorie) restriction for weight loss.

They actually totally disregarded that as a "myth" if I remember correctly

That film is an evil fatshaming propaganda! It's made by godless people who just want to humiliate perfectly healthy 500 lbs hard-working Americans! My feelings were so hurt after watching it that I was forced to eat a jar of Nutella just to be able to calm down so I could fall asleep at night.

I enjoyed it, but yes it puts overweight people into the victim role and puts the blame on society and lobbying. I remember being irritated through most of it and thinking, parents buy the food, kids don't have cash, PARENTS are at fault, it's that simple!! FUCK!!!!!
Even so, I still enjoyed it because it did get some messages across very well. I would love to see more documentaries pop up regarding obeastity.

I think they just didn't want to attack potential viewer base.

I couldn't even finish it. It just seemed like it was trying to excuse completely willful ignorance. I enjoy fast food every now and again, but it's not like I don't know what I'm eating; the nutrition information for EVERYTHING is easily accessible and/or prominently displayed. People aren't fat because the evil fast food corporations are injecting salt and sugar into vegetables, they're fat because they eat too much shit.
I also didn't like the fact that they cast exercise in such a bad light. Sure, a walk around the block can't undo a bad diet, but that's no reason to not walk around the block.

In the end it is right; you will have better luck losing weight if you avoid junk food.
However, it denies the whole "calories in vs calories out" concept which is just not true.
It mentions that a calorie from almonds is not the same as a calorie from chocolate, and yes, sure that is true because of the quality of that calorie, but technically you can lose weight on 1500 calories of chocolate just as you would lose weight on 1500 calories of almonds.

They're putting the emphasis of the blame on the food industry and the government being in bed (which we know is true) and not enough emphasis on the parents feeding their kids shit foods and a lack of exercise.
