The basil is turning out to be a force to reckon with. I had no idea how easily this stuff would grow. I don't even use basil in my cooking, ever. My mom decided to start the basil for me because she knew I wanted to start a small balcony herb garden. Now I need to look up recipes for things to make with fresh basil.

Immediately pesto. You can take a sprig of basil as long as your hand and put it into an Italian tomato sauce for pasta too, take it out before eating and it adds an indefinable and delightful flavour.
