I did this to my Instagram and Twitter as well. There was something that was just bugging me. Self-entitled, attention-whoring people all over the place. Ever since I removed Facebook I've felt so much more focused and myself.

Good for you! I did the same about a year ago and I love it :)

Every time a friend of mine complains about something on Facebook I just smile and tell them, "dude, just delete it, you'll love it"

Did that years ago. Hard at first. Much better later. I hated all the awkward situations that arose because of forced social interaction. Two people split up. You are friends with both. What do you do!? So-and-so just changed their status to it's complicated :S etc

Stick with it; you'll be glad that you did!
