Been thinking about this myself. Every time I see a smug meme pushing a political agenda I lose a little bit of faith in the people I follow. Might be a net positive if I just made a break with all that.

good for you, now if you want facebook to stop tracking you; dump all your cookies, and consider blocking facebook's servers on computers you use by add the following to the host file:

I did that but then two years later I made an account but I can count one one hand the number of times I've logged in. It's important to have a Facebook for distant family but I still can't bring myself to use it. I do not like Facebook.

Did the same a few years back, the only thing I missed was having an IM with all my friends. Got a few friends to move to hangouts, the rest I just text. Shocking how the world didn't end :P
