I just played this speech in its entirity to put my toddler to sleep. Worked like a charm. I might start playing Trump speeches as a bedtime routine moving forward. (I love Trump BTW, don't construe this comment to imply I mean something bad...I don't, see my post history if you don't believe me. I was on the Trump train during the primaries).

Yah sure Donald, spend your money with our US companies as they have already sucked us dry, now they can work on you.

And the fucked up thing, NATO only really indirectly benefits the US. We're not gonna get fucking invaded. Not when compared to the other nations. Any war that would break out would effect the US less than any of these countries.

And here we are, not just spending more but more as a percentage of fucking GDP. They love to call us assholes even when it's American taxes paying for their protection.

Unfortunately, military spending does not increase military efficient or power for many of the small European countries. Why should a country pay more for its defense than it has to? So Boeing/Raytheon/etc can sell them more useless jets and tanks that they probably don't even need?

Perhaps that's the point. Having them pay out of pocket for their own share will make them look more critically at what they are spending the money on. Then they will stop paying so much to the Military industrial complex.. Win win?
