Ben & Jerry’s Is Fighting for Marriage Equality in Australia With New Scoop Policy - Eater
'Ice cream company Ben & Jerry’s has never shied away from getting political, and now, they’re doing their part to fight for marriage equality Down Under: The U.S.-based brand has announced it won’t serve “same scoop” orders in protest of Australia’s Marriage Act, which doesn’t recognize same-sex marriages.“We are banning two scoops of the same flavor and encouraging our fans to contact their MPs to tell them that the time has come — make same sex marriage legal!,” cries an announcement, noting the ban will go effect at all 26 Ben & Jerry’s locations in Australia. ', "The effort further encourages shop visitors to write their representatives regarding marriage equality, complete with mailboxes inside the store, ready to receive the notes. “More Australians than ever before believe everyone should have the right to love who they love — and marry them too, if that's what makes you happy."
'Let’s make it happen!”Stateside, Ben & Jerry’s has expressed support for the Black Lives Matter movement and has spoken out against President Trump’s administrative order that banned travelers from six predominantly Muslim countries; neither U.S. action, however, resulted in any temporary changes or modifications to the scoop shop’s menu. '
'However, the brand did celebrate the U.S. Supreme Court’s 2015 decision to legalize same-sex marriage with an ice cream flavor called “I Dough, I Dough.”• Love comes in all flavours!'

I know this isn't fascism, but whats funny is that under fascist corporatism businesses have to be on the states side. They have to support the fascist ideology or not harm the ideology - "Everything within the state, nothing outside the state, nothing against the state". When liberal businesses make a political stand, as many of them do, they are doing exactly what a fascist state would expect from them, only they do do it in the name of Liberalism.

It'd be ever so fucking nice to see the day businesses stop politicizing consumer dollars. Fuck that overpriced bullshit.

Shouldn't it be the opposite? Requiring two scoops to be the same?

It's anti Trump, not anti-fag. They are banning white traditional marriage. Two scoops of vanilla and a scoop of chocolate? Just fine by SJWs, anything to dilute the white race.

These (((parasites))) are everywhere. It takes to be completely brainwashed or braindead to even doubt that things Hitler said about them were true back then and are true to this day.

It's almost as if Hitler was...was...right?
[–] Thisismyvoatusername 0 points 1 point 1 point (+1|-0) ago
Why would a corporation not be allowed to be as political as it wants to be?
