I just saw a movie last weekend. The priviews went like this. Remake, sequel remake WW2 film and some adaptation of a graphic novel. This is the kind of thinking you get from people who thought an exact remake of ghost busters with female leads would be "new".

I'm more concerned about this "women should be trashy whores" movie comedy trend. Seems more subversive and successful than explosion based shekel generation.

They don't lose money. They make money all along the process to bloat up those budgets.

The 5 at the end of the Pirates is the giveaway that it's going to suck ass

Problem with Pirates is that it's just an okay franchise that's been dragged out far too long. They might have been able to pull it off had the release dates been a little closer together. It's too forgettable that they need to re-win the audience over each time and each time it drastically loses more of its novelty so it's harder to capture the audience each time.

In Africa they like the movie so much they do live reenactments and shows for European trade ships.

Yeah, the first one was fun. All the rest were completely unnecessary. I wasn't even aware there was a 4, nor did I need to be.
