Just for the record, my best friend competed for a couple of years, completely naturally. I was thoroughly impressed with her discipline. It helped that her boyfriend at the time also competed. But it's definitely not healthy what they did leading up to the competitions. She doesn't compete anymore and is much healthier both mentally and physically. But some of the methods used to drop the final body fat percentage at the end or refusing to drink water for days at a time leading up to competition (which can be seen in the documentary) were hard to watch her do. Having seen it all first hand, I would argue that moderation is better for you than what those athletes out their bodies through.

What an inspiration this women is "I want to do this naturally and it takes a little bit more effort and I won't get as big as some girls but my end goal is not to get as big as I can be, my goal is to be as good as I can be"
EDIT: Just finished the video, bodybuilding is not one of my goals but I am always so impressed by the amount of work that goes in to it.

The other bodybuilder in the video is on steroids and you can see the difference. When women worry about getting "bulky" it's that or the fat power lifters they don't want to look like. The natural lifter looks like a goddess especially for 47!
