The infuriating part about this is that a better cure exists for obesity and obesity related complications than exists for a huge amount of involuntary illnesses. There is a long list of conditions for which there is no real answer, but obeasts have access to a FREE cure that will work as good as 100% of the time. But apparently we're not doing enough to help them? Fuck off.

Patients with obesity deserve better care. But how?
Two words: Therapeutic fasting. More words: for about a year or two. Even more words: water only.

LOL...the answer to the problem is literally 5 words into the sub-title:
Diet and Exercise

If a company sold a pill that if used would reduce the symptoms and even in most cases put T2D into remission your company would have profits in the billions. If that company also had a pill that would reduce to eliminate the risk of over a dozen cancers including breast, colin, kidney and pancreas along with others you would have billions in profits. If you could reduce the incidents of stroke and heart attacks dramatically you would make billions. And if you could alleviate joint pain and well over all body pain you would make billions. You put all these drugs into 1 pill you would have a company that would be the first trillion dollar company.
But instead of paying for this miracle pill it is given away free and can actually save you money. Just eat a normal human amount of food and move some.

The vast majority of health problems come from smoking, drinking, drugs and over eating. And EVERYBODY FUCKING KNOWS THIS. Health insurance wont fix this. Single payer wont fix this. Seeing your doctor 4 times a year wont fix this. How fucking stupid are these people. They really believe some fat fuck is going to waddle into the doctor's office and when the doc says 'loose weight' fat fuck is going to have some kind of epiphany?

That doctor refuses to address the fact it hints at with its anecdote, that even if they can "save" a morbidly obese patient today, you simply delay its death until tomorrow. Because the body is wrecked from trotter to snout, and even if you can patch it up today, it'll just gorge itself back into the emergency room. Why throw good money after bad, when it could go to help those who deserve it?

"We need more than diet and exercise pep talks to save people suffering from morbid obesity."
You're right... how about a gun and several bullets instead?
